They haven't awarded beetles since the first New Year, and I don't believe they're doing that this year either. I could be wrong, but I'll still play for the Gamer Points, regardless of a top 100 mini.

Only thing that I can see changing is that there won't be a rapid flood of high scores and repeat players on the list on the last day of the event.

i never like roller beetle racing.. cos i'd always think i was winning at some point, then rubberband and find myself losing >>

ug, great, now rollerbeetle racing is gonna be based on luck more than skill. Before if someone got echo and super 10-15 seconds before me, i could still win becuase I knew HOW TO USE THEM. Now people that aren't very good can beat the best racers just because of luck.

How was box-camping skill-based?

Winning still matters on knowing how to best utilize the skills obtained. If anything, the game is based more on skill.

Practically all box campers are not that good. The high-scoreers don't win because of box camping, they win because they know how to use the supers, dashes, and rams.
